The last few pictures I have from model maker-extraordinaire Gerard Davey
Late war figures by Valiant
AAMG
A couple of different Vickers MG platoons
3" mortar, some units got 4.2" mortars added later in the war
I think if the Valiant sets had been genuinely 1/72 scale from the outset they would have been onto a winner
Revell paratroopers

ReplyDeleteI think the Sdkfz 251's on my latest blog were Gerard specials from some years ago too..

Thanks for that Robin, you have some nice examples of Gerard's work there
Deleteinteresting... those are some nice figures
ReplyDeleteTotally agree Al with your comments about Valiant, they would have been a real boon to us 20mm gamers if they had matched in with the typical 1/72 stuff.
ReplyDeleteMust admit, I'm a fan of Valiant and agree it's a shame about the scale difference...
ReplyDeleteGood to see Gerards still at it. He has been rather quiet lately.
ReplyDeleteThose are really good!
ReplyDeleteThanks lads, yep, the man's talents extend to figure painting also :)
