Another small unit added to my German collection. Most of the figures are Esci
A couple of the Sealion scenarios have 'German naval infantry' in the OOB so I knocked these up to fill that requirement
Command infantry platoon
Rifle platoons
Machinegun platoon
Could probably expand this unit into x2 companies plus a small HQ and support company but I have other things on the go at present. The bases were painted grey rather than green as from what I've read these troops spent more time on ships and around docks than anywhere else.
Nicely Done Stabsbootman Clarke! Always nice to see the Navy!

ReplyDeleteinteresting shade/ washes look ??
ReplyDeleteThanks gang, nice to read your thoughts. Pondering Paul's comment the unit had since had some black ink shading to give the uniforms a darker look

They look terrific, well done. I'd love to see early war Kriegsmarine in 28mm, but the only ones I know of are by Warlord as later war.
DeleteAre those ESCI figures conversions? I didn't know Esci did naval infantry.
Cheers,
M
Thanks Michael. Yeah, Esci figures with Revell heads. The only companies I know of that have produced dedicated 'naval infantry' is Pegasus and Zvezda; both Soviet figures
