this one a 75L15, although being open-topped this counts as a weak AFV

Continuing with paint upgrades to various AFVs in my collection

This is my only M3 company in their original scheme

And, after some ink and minor touch-ups. I need a figure for the command vehicle, might have to convert something

A very successful light tank, with over 20,000 produced.

One more Sherman

Easily the best of my Sherman collection, this recent addition was sent to me by Dave M

The tidy paintwork and detailing leaves my other Shermans with a bit to be desired

The painting of the tracks is very cool

Here it is with the rest of my Sherman 75s. Eight others of various manufacture, of which I had only two to begin with - all the others have come from donations; via Messrs Foster & Gow, thanks lads :)

I'll have a battalion of these one day!

Armourfast Cromwell

This is a very simple kit with good detail. Over 4000 of these were built, operational 1944-55

I made it up as a command unit because its inclusion now sees me with a full company of these

The command figure is by PSC and comes in the early war cruiser kit

M24 Chaffee

This little beauty was in the stash that Paul sent me. A lot of nations used this AFV, and nearly 5000 were built

I unbuttoned it, added a crew figure and a MG 

A lick of paint and a couple of decals and it's tabletop ready

I think this model is by Matchbox Hasegawa (thanks Paul)

I'll use this more with my Korean War collection, a very welcome inclusion thanks mate :)

Airfix Centurions

Here is what they originally looked like, x3 soft plastic models, they have seen several games set between 1946 and 1953 

I added a lower hull section to each of them

This is an actual Airfix kitset, which I did up as a command platoon. It was originally brown

Added fuel cans, mg, crew figure and turret baggage

The fume extractor on the barrel makes these later model Centurions but they will still be used for gaming 1945-70

Repainted and additional decals added to all four vehicles

Quite happy with the revamp results.

New Shermans

Been away taking care of a friend's training establishment for a while, which has me now mulling an offer and change of scenery. Anyway, I forgot to show you all these beauties before I left...

This care package from Paul http://plasticwarriors.blogspot.com.au/?view=classic brings my Sherman collection up to two full compaines

As you can see they are detailed and painted to Paul's high standards and include some little extras like turret stowage

I think these are Armourfast and will fit really well with my others; particularly the pair sent to me by Tim Gow a couple of years ago http://20thcenturywargames.blogspot.com.au/2012/03/shermans.html

The last one shows a bone yard wreck he included for me, and I actually have the few bits and pieces needed to bring this one up to service standard, and I might try and make this one the command platoon.

Sherman 76s

Finished these Italeri fast-builds over the last few nights, nice models

This brings my total Sherman collection to seven: x4 75L38s, x2 76L52s, x1 105L22.
