WW1 British Infantry (tropical dress)

Nice little set by HaT

I managed enough stands to make a regular rifle battalion, and an independent maneuver company

A couple of minor adjustments to the machine gun figures

Painted with Vallejo and Tamiya acrylics

About time I finished a project to show you :)

7.58 cm Minenwerfer

This little beauty came to me via Dave M. These things had a rate-of-fire of about six rounds per minute, with a range of 1300 meters

Unusual style of painting, most effective. There are almost enough figures to complete a 1918 infantry battalion, but I need to base them

Absolute gem! Figures by Emhar.

Dismounted et al

Dismounted infantry

HaT figures

one complete troop

recently completed place marker

HaT ANZAC figure on the left looks okay next to the original BEF figure by Airfix

The old Airfix set is still useful but clearly 1/76.

1914-15 British Infantry

Long overdue, these are the latest offerings by HaT

From the HaT ANZAC set

I'd like to do several battalions eventually. About my only complaint would be with the plastic - still a bit soft for my liking.

Great War BEF Cavalry

The first of three such formations...

Nice figures but I would liked to have seen the infantry figures released first

Recon section

Command section

Mostly Vallejo paints and Citadel washes

I enjoyed putting these together and will hopefully show you the whole regiment in the not-too-distant future. Once the infantry set gets released I intend to make dismounted stands to go with each of the mounted ones

Cavalry machinegun platoon

Still some minor work to do on these...

The horses are from the extremely excellent Revell WW2 artillery set. The figure is Hat trooper with headswap. Added saddlery furniture and a broken-down mmg from the bits box

Haven't painted horses for ages

Based for CD. Could have included a second mounted trooper but the base size is big enough as it is

This is the dismounted equivalent. HaT figures with headswaps

Haven't added anything figure-wise to my WW1 collection for ages, so these have been fun.

Thanks again to all who gave the T55 a bit of thought, I'm thinking sideskirts it is; to be continued...

Great War Tunneling Company

Something a bit different here. This is basically your standard generic allied forces engineer company, but they can double as tunnelers if the scenario calls for it.

We played a Messines Ridge game a couple of years ago but these guys weren't included that time round

CD Over the Top doesn't really cater for underground warfare but the provision is there if you wanted to use it, the rules are similar to sewer fighting in WW2 scenarios

All HaT figures with the obligatory picks and shovels. More top-stuff from David Russell.

37mm Trench Gun

More from the talents of my good friend David Russell...

Each U.S regiment has one platoon in CD terms, although you sometimes get others in certain scenarios

Most U.S equipment was borrowed from other nations

I think Dave has an entire division so he might need to do another couple of these.
