I have had this in the stash for a long time, it is my only French aircraft

A very old kit. Not particularly well engineered

it did, however, come with its own pilot figure - bonus!

The decals disintegrated at the mere sight of water, so I found some Italian ones and painted them as best I could 

Not my best work but it will do.

Me109

The only one of these I have

Vallejo colours and Citadel washes

The 'pilot' is a heavily modified Esci Zulu warrior

For once the decals went on almost without a hitch. Actually, this part of my hobby skills have improved since I stopped using water from the dogs bowl (it was handy at the time of first use)

This model is by Academy.

Lockheed Hudson

Started this about three years ago. http://20thcenturywargames.blogspot.com.au/2012/11/something-different.html The heaviest of my bomber collection, this aircraft will see service in multiple theatres; although in CD terms it is quite rare to have something this size in a game

In service with over a dozen nations during the Second World War

Rough in many places but tabletop ready enough. It has a full crew, including a radio operator that can't be seen, and interior detail likewise

Decals from what I could scrounge out of my spares. It still needs quite a bit of touch up work, but that will have to wait. This is by Italeri.

Brewster Buffalo

Pictures of the completed aircraft. Operated by several nations throughout The Second World War

I tried to make the paint scheme as multi-national as I could, including nondescript markings

Fortunately this kit came with a pilot figure

I tried to use old fuselage decals but they broke up, so in the end I had to paint some markings ... not an easy task 

The colours, etc are loosely Dutch East Indies but the Finish and Belgians used these too in a similar pattern

The Dutch used this aircraft in a dive bomber role, so I added a couple of small bombs from the spares box

This is an excellent addition to my aircraft collection. I had been after one of these for some time. Thanks Paul for sending it.

Gloster Gladiator

Had this in the stash for a while, a very simple little kit set of about two dozen parts

Made just a little more difficult by adding basic rigging

The paint scheme is one I copied from the internet, European theatre 1939-40

Exported to over twenty countries. I'm definitely going to get another one of these and paint it up so that it will fit in with several countries from my Minor Nations collection

The decals are from a Hurricane or Spitfire

I may yet paint the rigging, we'll see.

Me163 Komet

Tidy, accurate, little kit by Academy

Mostly painted on sprue

Base colours, plus the all important pilot selection from the spares box

Operational from around mid 1944, they apparently did not perform to expectation. They had a very limited combat range of about 50km and only enough fuel for 8-10 minutes of powered flight

I actually have a couple of CD3 scenarios where these feature as part of the German air support, so it may get a little table time at some stage. Nice kit, detailed and well engineered.

Phil's B17

Here is a few pictures of my neighbour Phil's B17.

Phil is an ex infantryman who makes the odd kitset and plays the occasional wargame

By his own admission, this has still a little to be done to finish it completely

Me262 Finished

I have, actually, enjoyed at least an hour and a half of hobby time over the last two weeks, and consequently, actually do, almost, have something to show you all.... soon :)

In the interim, however, here are some pictures of this old Heller Me262 that I found on my computer last night when looking for work related documents

Two-seater, night-fighter version, without the radar array attached to the front

Crew figures would have been nice but didn't have any at the time

The decals were spares from my Me110, which was an old Revell kit. This was painted with Tamiya colours as I hadn't started using Vallejo at this stage

This model has had at least one game that I can think of, in the ground attack role. These were operational by mid 1944 and served with quite reasonable success until the end of the war, claiming over 300 victories; depending on which source you read.
