Update

So, finally got a few pieces to work on and have started a couple of mini projects, more later. These kits in the pictures are all 1/35 scale

This is from the collection of my friend Billy in Brisbane. His interests in this scale include: aircraft, vehicles and infantry, with the odd diorama as well.

Scratch x1 Carrier - history repeats!

This is our seven month old Great Dane puppy - Romey

Some of you may remember this post from way back

Guess I'm a slow learner...

Don't be fooled by the apparently innocent expression :)

From this...

To this...

It is difficult to keep things out of the reach of puppies this tall!

Mine Layer

Tracy got me this novelty ship a while ago, I've since altered it to fit in with the rest of the fleet

It is about 1/87 scale

The forward gun is a 75L12

Certainly more useful than it originally was :)

New Digs, new cave

Our stuff arrived yesterday, as yet nothing unpacked.

This cave is fully 1/8 the size of my last one but I live in suburbia now so can't complain - the double garage is for the Land Rover and the Daytona. At this stage I've left the table extensions off because I still have to get shelving, etc in as well.

Unpacking

Just the usual minor damage to fix up, broken machine guns, etc

Several of my aircraft needed quite extensive repairs, however

But the 0400 came through unscathed, joy! Should have some decent progress on projects to show you soon.

New Table

Here is my new table. It was the crate my bike was shipped over in, it has now traveled 5000km. Set on trestle tables and clamped together. The joins were then filled and the whole thing sanded

Have kept it a flat top style but am also considering using the drop-cloth method when doing scenarios with a lot of hill features

In CD3 terms I have a frontage of 7500 x 5200 yards

Demo layout with an early war map but I need to make a lot more road and river sections.

New Digs

So. We found a place to live. House, garages, stables, dressage arena, etc, etc...

Cave!

This is my new games room, already finished a new table too, show you that soon.

Olde Shippe Yard

Decided to expand the fleet

Scored a couple of different hull varieties with another K-Mart find, this time Pirate Island playset, which also included some other goodies, that I'll show you later

First attempt

Not be confused with one of these

Second

Also made this vehicle landing barge - multi national, of course

I may have to make small bases for these because they have a very narrow beam (nautical terms for you Col )

In CD terms these will transport x2 infantry stands or x1 light vehicle

All made from bits and pieces.
