Japanese Project
Another regiment towards my goal of a division
Most manufacturers represented
I had enough Hong Kong 'knock offs' to include companies in travel march and human wave assault formations
I have about five battalions in my collection and the extras I'm working on will cover most OOBs 1939-45.

New digs, first game
My new neighbour is an old friend of fifteen years, who just happens to play CD3
Dave's ultra table is now in residence at my place, me and neighbour (Ash) just couldn't wait, so here are a couple of pics from a game we've thrown together. In this case 60s cold war
AFVs here are Airfix and S-Models
Played 6 turns so far with the Soviets (me) taking lots of damage. To be continued...

Work in Progress
Eventually this formation will be an infantry brigade....
Mostly Strelets, Esci and Revell figures
I chose Lewis guns for the LMG platoons
This will be the machinegun battalion
Engineer stands, in more of assault style poses
Another engineer company
Still quite a bit of work to do but the aim is to produce a 1939-43 New Zealand Infantry Brigade.

Progress
Well, not much at present. Although I have started some of these wooden models to add to my oriental scenery collection....
Eventually they'll be tidied up with filler and glue and given a lick of paint.

Project Pictures
Owing to recent reinforcement from down south, a long term project has gained new life.
I started a 1943-45 British Airborne Brigade way back here... http://20thcenturywargames.blogspot.com.au/2011/10/parachute-infantry-platoons.html ...and here... http://20thcenturywargames.blogspot.com.au/2011/11/para-support-platoons.html ... in 2011.. and added these since http://20thcenturywargames.blogspot.com.au/2014/07/british-para-gun-crews.html ... http://20thcenturywargames.blogspot.com.au/2014/07/british-para-2nd-battalion.html .... http://20thcenturywargames.blogspot.com.au/2014/07/para-ammo-porters.html ..
Anyway, the progress...
Mortar platoons
Command sections
Flamethrower engineer platoon
MMG stand
PIAT
Rifle platoons, a few minor alterations but nothing drastic.
I still have to fill gaps and add some more weapon slings.

Work Bench
Ash went home last week so I've been back in the cave catching up
Kiwis. The first of three planned formations, the black ones at the back will form part of a machine gun battalion
This is a Dragon 251/1, a very detailed kit by my standards
Airfix German para now at about the 3/4 stage
Played a few board games with Ash while she was here, which prompted me to get back to finishing the characters from the expansion set for Last Night on Earth.
Seldom if ever bored :)

New figures + progress
Never thought I would ever see New Zealand soldiers made in plastic
Strelets is certainly delivering consistently in unusual subjects, and their products (especially sculpting) are getting better all the time
couple of poses here of the Kiwis in their famous 'Lemon Squeezer' head dress; including a minor alteration I'm looking to make on these
This is my early war Aifix German para project at about the halfway stage
Last couple represent a platoon of the RAF Regiment that I need for my next map scenario.

Progress - wooden buildings
My first dabble with wooden buildings
Added a floor to this one so as to make it more functional for CD3
This is another one of an Asian style
Basic construction, went together in about ten minutes. Once I've finished filling the major gaps and other holes in the framework it will be ready for a paint job.
