WW2 Indian Infantry Battalion

I've had this group a while but have had them out recently for a touch up

Based for CD3 1941-45

These were painted with Tamiya acrylics 

The battalion has two figures by Atlantic and several others as well.

WW2 New Zealand Infantry

By Strelets - most excellent!

I removed the bases for a better height match with other figures. Only the rifle platoons finished at this stage

The unit is organised to cover the period 1939-42

The uniform colours are a bit more early war in style too; green webbing of the older pattern

Now working on a second rifle battalion, command sections, mortars, medium machine guns, engineers, etc.

Plus, all my other usual things on the go :) 

Jungle French

I included a few Esci figures for variety and swapped a few heads around

This unit will eventually be used for a game set in Indo-China. The figures still need a bit of a touch-up but I'm a bit over them and have other things on the go.

Colonial Constabulary

Research for a scenario I'm working on revealed the need for a small unit of armed police, "... of about 120 constables; variously armed." So I had a scrounge through my spares box and came up with the following...

A couple of figures got 'coolie hat' head-swaps, the rest are standard Esci figures 

Somewhere in the Dutch East Indies.

Still working on these but more or less finished

A few had helmets or a backpack added but otherwise standard

WW2 Dutch

Well, Caesar French with HaT Romanian head-swaps. I've had a go at these before - this unit had a little more thought and effort put into it

I had just enough spare figures and heads to assemble 13 platoons and a command section

I added weapon slings, and Lewis machinegun pouches taken from spare Emhar figures to a few, as these were quite common on Dutch webbing. I've got three or four good accurate scenarios involving the Dutch at home, and two more for the Dutch East Indies, if I ever get around to making a unit to represent them.

Been around for a while this one, I found the cab on the ground, took it home and made this...

Scratch built box rear

Still rough by any standard but it is an improvement on what it was, and, in a way, the end of a very long project 2009-15 :)

Probably see most service amongst my minor nations collection but is generic enough to fit in pretty much anywhere. 

Crossley Armoured Car

The last of my Frontline resins for now. I got this one with my small Minor Nations collection in mind but it could also feature in Sealion type scenarios, as they were still used as training vehicles in 1940 

Similar to the Lanchester 6x4 armoured car in many respects, though these served until 1945; mostly in the Pacific 

Base colours. I tried to keep it as neutral as possible so the model could stand in for similar vehicles of minor nations, Dutch, Polish, etc, I'm not a purist :)

Fairly generic decals, which never seem to go on smoothly :(

Armed with x2 Vickers machineguns, and carrying about 7mm of armour, this is a light recon vehicle at best, but like others of its ilk would have been pressed into service in the event of an invasion of England.
