Not quite finished but getting there, the first real hobby related project attempted in ages

Planning a game for later on in the holidays where these will get an outing on the tabletop. The new teacher aide at work is an older guy who has done a spot of gaming - joy!

PzIVD

Another of the new arrivals from Paul (Yuri Orlov) Foster

Like the others it will be getting an early war paint scheme

Manufacturer unknown. A very nice model, and actually the only one of these I have.

New Panzers

These arrived yesterday from Paul. A couple of very nicely done PzIIs'

Both need a road wheel replaced but are otherwise in good order, not sure of their manufacture

As nice as the paint work is I'm thinking about re-doing them in standard panzer grey, so that I can use them for scenarios set in 1939-40 as well as early Russia.

WW1 Martin Bomber

This model dates to the earliest parts of my collection. I got it on ebay when you could still get decent models for 99 cents, at this time I knew little about the hobby, the historical stuff, paint schemes, unit markings, etc

This model is by Glenco, I think it dates from around the late sixties or early seventies. It has seen a couple of tabletop games. I added a forward gunner from an Airfix kit, I think the rear gunner is somewhere inside the fuselage because it was rattling when I was repairing it the other night :) 

Will remount the machine gun, once I've recovered the gunner

Not sure if the decals I put on this are authentic. When I built this, it was with a minor nations inter-war addition kind of thinking, and for gaming it simply represents a light or medium bomber, depending on the era your playing

It suffered moderate damage in getting here but is now fit for service again. These were intended to be a far superior improvement on the British Handley Page 0-400 but actually fell a bit short in a number of areas

Might repaint and decal it one day? Very few of these were produced and all that were saw service only with the US military, deploying in October 1918.

Reconstruction

A spot of house-sitting sees me with the opportunity to unpack and mess around with some of my stuff

A few repairs required in the WW1 aircraft department

Most of my stuff took a hit in one way or another, this is my Russian armour in the queue for repairs 

This is going to be my new games room, tiny compared to the last one I had. I'll have this place to myself for a while and will try to make the most of it. Stay tuned...

Archive Two

Great War, Second World War and Cold War aircraft collection, each era has at least doubled in size since this picture was taken. At this time I had to take pictures of my entire collection and get it valued so that it could be added to our insurance

Several varieties and manufacturers represented here. The bomber at the back is an American Martin MB1, which has seen one tabletop game as part of a Nationalist Chinese force

Most theatres and eras covered for WW2, my favourites are the Battle and the Defiant

Cold War, now includes a Canadian Sabre and a Gloster Meteor.

These are some of my earlier conversion attempts. I learnt a lot about just how much you can really achieve doing the monster mash with body parts

The figures were all donated to me by other Bloggers who supported my project with various spares; special thanks to Tim for adding to my collection some of the rare Airfix Commandos

Hard to do with bigger formations but a cool project for a raider style group

I took some pictures for you all on a recent visit to Col's. They didn't turn out so great so Col sent through a few for me.
