A couple of stands to represent RN boarding parties or sailors with small-arms put ashore

For CD3 the count as 'other' so of limited use, expecting special scenarios.

WW2 ANZAC Infantry

I did this unit up a long time ago but never got around to finishing it until just the other day. They were painted quite differently from my current style using Tamiya acrylics. Most of the figures are Esci or Revell, though there are also a couple that have been modified

I originally did them up for games we were playing at the time, Greece, Crete, and later Italy. A few years ago me and Dave did an historical Crete game on the largest table I've ever had, something like 20 odd CD3 battalions on the board plus other kit. It took us at least half a dozen sessions to finish, with things working out pretty much as they did historically

Eventually I'd like to bring this unit up to Brigade strength, but am also mulling a unit of ANZACs for the Pacific theatre using old Matchbox figures as well. So many projects so little time... :)

4D Models

Thought I'd show you all a closer look at these 4D models the girls got me. They are from China, you get x8 models in each, WW2 and Cold War vehicles from a random selection of nations, about ten parts per kit, the jury is still out on just about every thing else about them :) Oh yeah, x8 models for about AUD$17 including postage

Anyway... here is the Tiger I

As you can see, the picture reference doesn't quite much the actual detail on the model, but is there or there abouts...

I don't have another plastic Tiger I to compare it against, but here it is next to a PzIII (which I'm not sure is 1/76 or 1/72) and a Esci PzI

The only other assault gun I have to compare it with is this Trumpeter StugIIIb, looks like the super structure is bigger than 1/72 in this case! The road wheels are not ever close to accurate but hopefully I'll find some spares in my bone-yard to attempt a fix-up on this problem - most of the kits have this lower half representation, the exception at this stage being the Tiger I

As the holidays progress and I get a bit of down time with these I'll show you what I come up with. Also, Games Week this year will be in week two or three, because right now I'm hanging out with the girls, theme parks, zoos, movies, etc.

The full regiment needs only a handful of command and mmg stands to be complete. I can also change the formation slightly to use the group as a mechanised infantry unit; though I think I'd need about thirty Lorranie APCs :( As it stands the dragoon regiment needs sixteen trucks, cars and carriers of different types, so I'll look to get some more of these in the future

1st Company, the Caesar officer figure has had his base removed for a better height match, but otherwise fits really well in style and proportion to the Pegasus ones

Full battalion

Very nice figures with excellent sculpting obvious and zero flash, highly recommended. One or two minor engineering issues proved a bit of a challenge and I shall be making sure these are squared away properly on the Great War set before I start painting those. Whilst the multi-part nature of this brand can prove difficult to assemble well, the variety and quality of the figures makes it well worth the effort in my opinion. A most excellent addition for the gamer or collector.

Most of these gunners are HaT Romanian figures with some Polish figure head swaps, although their helmets and general kit are quite similar
