HO Log Cabin

This is quite small, genuine HO scale by Heljan

I left the door and window framing out so it would fit better with different theatres, this being a European lake cabin and all

Nice little model with heaps of detail, working on the second one now.

Japanese Type 94 tankettes

A couple of additions to my small Japanese collection

This version dates from the early 1930s and saw service throughout WW2. The Chinese also used them

x4 parts total, good wargaming vehicles

Very good value for money, about AUD$8 each, These models are by Frontline.

Projects and recent additions

A few pics of my work in progress

Caesar Fallschirmjager, metal support weapons unfortunately - late war 44-45

Airfix Fallschirmjager - early war 39-41

Italeri Fallschirmjager - mid war 42-43

Another battalion of Pacific theatre Australians

The cruisers are from me to me, Ash sent me the Mustang, which will be added to my Korean War aircraft, and Jack sent me the Jeeps and guns as well as some other goodies :) check out his work here https://jacksarge.blogspot.com.au/

Cheers

SDKFZ 231 GS

I inherited this recently from Paul; it is another from the talents of Gerard Davey

The GS version dates from about 1942

I painted it up a little more and added some decals but it is otherwise as it arrived

I think the chassis is from Airfix but everything else has been scratch-built - the turret is especially well done

Beside a later war version.

Jungle French

A 1941 Infantry Battalion, based on the set by Ykreol which a friend sent me quite a while ago. The PSR review can be seen here http://www.plasticsoldierreview.com/Review.aspx?id=1673

I included a few Esci figures for variety and swapped a few heads around

1st Coy

2nd

3rd

HQ

This unit will eventually be used for a game set in Indo-China. The figures still need a bit of a touch-up but I'm a bit over them and have other things on the go.

Scratch x1 Carrier - history repeats!

This is our seven month old Great Dane puppy - Romey

Some of you may remember this post from way back

Guess I'm a slow learner...

Don't be fooled by the apparently innocent expression :)

From this...

To this...

It is difficult to keep things out of the reach of puppies this tall!
