French half-track: Schneider P16

Another addition from http://earlywarminiatures.com/

Base colours are Vallejo French tank-crew and highlights, followed by a wash of Citadel Thruka Green

They served mostly with cavalry units, ideally I'd like two more of these to make a full armoured recon company

Decals from the spares that Paul gave me for my Char B1s

Nice simple kit of good detail and general appearance

French 25mm

Actually the Hotchkiss M34 anti-tank gun

This version was also used by the BEF during the Battle of France

Painted with Vallejo French tank-crew colours and a wash of Citadel Thruka Green

This is a really good model, metal, x7 parts, well made and accurate

This comes from Early War Miniatures, who have an excellent range of reasonably priced stuff to suit this period, check out their website here: http://earlywarminiatures.com/

Dave's 251s

A few pictures from Dave's 251 collection

He's got quite a few half tracks, these are from his late war panzergrenadier unit

Not too sure about who manufactured these, but they're all tidy kits with nice details

You need about ten of these to mount a full battalion in CD terms

New Pz I

Old but new. Paul gave me this a couple of weeks ago, it was in a desert scheme but I soon fixed that

An Esci model I think?

Still al little ink to apply around the wheels and tracks but it's pretty much finished

Haven't made much progress with either of my early war French or German projects, and am in Auckland all next week so no time for fun at present :(

76.2

Another gun by Unimodel

Two is enough for an understrength battery and they can also be attached to other units individually, quite useful

With the earlier attempt for comparison

Latest latest Project

Couldn't help myself. These French arrived a couple of days ago and I've started to build a dismounted Dragoon regiment, but as always transport for them all will be problematic

Figures are Caesar and Pegasus, both superb examples of modern figure manufacture

AALMG platoon

Eventually I intend to get some anti-tank guns as well
