Old Truck Revamp

Been around for a while this one, I found the cab on the ground, took it home and made this...

So, it has been on collection active service since 2009 http://20thcenturywargames.blogspot.com.au/2009/11/old-truck.html

Here is an archive picture of it during the Battle of Tarakan, which we gamed in early 2010 http://20thcenturywargames.blogspot.com.au/2010/01/gaming-tarakan-1942.html

Scratch built box rear

Still rough by any standard but it is an improvement on what it was, and, in a way, the end of a very long project 2009-15 :)

Probably see most service amongst my minor nations collection but is generic enough to fit in pretty much anywhere.

Chevy 1/2 ton Pickup

Early 1950s' diecast addition to my cold war collection

Would liked to have changed the wheels but I didn't have anything suitable

Actually a 1953 model

A very useful light utility. In CD terms it can carry a single figure stand, representing a section of about 8-10 men.

Die Cast Transport

Got this online for a couple of dollars

Not exactly sure what it is, but it looks okay for 1940-50s

New paintwork and a couple of decals

Seen here with some HQ Staff..

Two more dicasts'

Two more recently completed additions to my cold war era collection, both by Matchbox

This radio trucks dates from the early 80s'. I'd like to change the wheels on it at some stage

Another 1968 Landcruiser, just one more of these to finish - still on the lookout for some Landrovers

May or may not see a lot of game time, we'll see. Still, always good to have a few of these generic type transports available.

Old Matchbox Truck

Just an old 1921 Model T Ford. I rescued it from a junk shop a few weeks ago, thinking of my minor nations collection and their lack of transports; which you can never have enough of

The obligatory before and after picture

Vallejo, Canvas and Black colours, some minor inking but nothing else. This will allow the truck to serve multiple different nations and theatres, as they did historically

Many were adapted from the ambulance and machinegun carrier roles after the Great War. The Model T saw something like 15 million units produced before its retirement, so it is not that surprising that everyone from the Russians to the Japanese seem to have acquired a few somewhere along the line. Good score, wish I had more of them.

1968 Toyota Landcruiser

These are for my cold war collection

x2 for $1, we love you K-Mart

I have spent quite a lot of time in and around these over the years, and actually owned a 1971 model with an original three speed gearbox for about 10 years - it eventually had to be sent to the knackers yard after it caught fire on Tracy when I was doing my second tour in South Korea :(

Most of our UN Landcruisers had some form of armour plating; didn't instill that much confidence oddly enough :)

Standard military green

On the lookout for a few Landrovers now.

An old truck

I found this truck cab whilst leaving cricket last week, and straight away thought I wonder what this will go with.
Added a couple of wheels, deck, etc. Just couldn't help myself really, will post another of the painted variety later.

Die Casts

These are Die Cast vehicles that I wish I had more of. The car is a bit crude even with the late-pipes removed and some normal wheels added, but it fits the bill for some armies. The truck is an old Matchbox metal of 1920s vintage; it counts as a heavy truck for game purposes and can transport three stands. Again, fits well enough for most purposes, and is frequently used to move the engineer company of my Polish Motorised Infantry Regiment.
