German Truck Revamp

Most of my trucks have been obtained second hand, many were bone-yard jobs, missing wheels and things

Most have since been repainted and had missing wheels replaced

Here is another Dragon Horch I've been working on

No crew figures for this one

These three came from Gerard originally

Pegasus. Outstanding engineering on these models

Airfix

Esci

All of my Opel Blitz trucks

Matchbox varieties - x2 were resurrected from the bone-yard; these are usually attached to the support infantry companies, towing antitank guns and carrying mortars

All of my German trucks, so far. All painted with Vallejo colours and given new decals where I could.

Hasegawa Mercedes Benz Staff Car

Bit of a classic this

Here's what it looked like to begin with. My mate Col gave me this a while ago. Check out his Blog, if you haven't already seen it http://scratchbuiltarmour.blogspot.com.au/

After some thought I decided to remove the flags

A jerrycan fell off and I still have to touch up a couple of areas, otherwise it's tabletop ready

Crew figures by Fujimi

This is what I had in mind when I started

Horch Transports

Some pictures of the Horch transports I got from Gerard

I think these are by Dragon Models

Very highly detailed models and well constructed

Both have been removed from their bases and had minor paintwork touch-ups but they are otherwise as I got them. Thanks G.

Airfix Airborne Jeep

Got this a while ago, only just got around to making it

This is a nicely engineered kit and quite good value for money at AU$12

You get several options, including machineguns for the jeep; no crew however, which would have been a useful inclusion

I'm thinking of pulling out my Jeep collection now and seeing if I can't improve on their appearance a bit with some new paintwork and decals.

Another Heavy Truck

Monty's Caravan it was never going to be. Check out this link for a very cool job on this kit http://plasticwarriors.blogspot.com.au/2014/11/magic-matchbox-monty-model.html?view=classic

I had my bridging engineer unit in mind for this truck. The Leyland Retriever served throughout WW2 in a variety of roles; Leyland also built the Cromwell tank from 1943

Still some details to do with paintwork and decals. Nice model. In CD3, this can carry a whole company.

Japanese Trucks

A nice little contribution from Dave

I've only made a couple myself, but Hasegawa make very nice kits

I think these are mediums, each truck can carry two stands

Dave's kits are always tidy in construction and paint work

Always nice to see something different.

Bedford light truck

Another addition from the Airfix Bomber Resupply kit

Not a big fan of these 'glass doors'

I cut the observers hatch out with the intention of mounting a Bren Gun on the roof, but it did not look right

A little crooked in places but a better model than the utility van

Some small decals from the selection that comes with the kit. All in all, another nice little addition to my British collection.
