ANZAC Support Weapons

More or less finished these, a small addition to my ANZAC collection.

Not as well crafted as the infantry set, as the soft plastic does not hold the lines on the figures, not as crisp, if you know what I mean.

The sculpting is also inferior to the other set but they are still okay; would have been good to see one or two figures in the shirt sleeves but still a gap in the range filled. Back to doing Russian mortars next.

  1. The sculpting may be inferior, but your painting is superior!
You surely made them look terrific Al!

  2. I know what you mean about the "soft" plastic..why they have decided to use this type is beyond me...the finer detail is lost, which although it gives them a certain charm is a shame as the WWI series is pretty good all in all. Still you´ve painted them well and they look ok, that´s what counts eh? :-)

  5. Great painting.HaT's plastic is not the greatest but for god sake be carefull what you say or you will get the "Mad HaTTers"after you!
Wish someone would do some Vietnam era Aussies.

  6. Mordern stuff is very under represented. I have a lot of the HaT range in the stuff I like, but the plastic they use is inferior to others. I don't understand this choice.

  8. It's to allow you to erase mistakes on your TO&E sheets when marking down casualties during those big complex wargames we love to play.

No real wargamer actually paints stuff, right?
