1968 Toyota Landcruiser

These are for my cold war collection

x2 for $1, we love you K-Mart

I have spent quite a lot of time in and around these over the years, and actually owned a 1971 model with an original three speed gearbox for about 10 years - it eventually had to be sent to the knackers yard after it caught fire on Tracy when I was doing my second tour in South Korea :(

Most of our UN Landcruisers had some form of armour plating; didn't instill that much confidence oddly enough :)

Standard military green

On the lookout for a few Landrovers now.

  1. Those are sweet and the price is unbelievable. I can't find any decent Matchbox where I live. I need either an Aston Martin or a Jag, in black.

    2. I've had bugger all luck with Smiths or Banba. Oddly enough though, you can get occasionally decent ones in Dealz. I got a lovely some brand or other Toyota Tacoma in sensible Al Qaeda white for €1.49.

  3. Nice! How about a pic next to a Infantry stand for scale for your ole mate so he can work out the scale?

  4. That looks a nice little model - especially at the price! But with only a three-speed 'box surely some form of movement penalty is in order?
